Agathe Calvie, une héroïne du quotidien

Agathe (seated in the image on the left), more than 20 years ago in one of the toughest neighborhoods of Lunel (Mas Pachet).

A former player and captain of Montpellier Hérault Sporting Club’s professional soccer team in the women’s top division, winner of many titles, Agathe Calvie has at the same time worked for more than twenty years with the “Hérault Sport” organization in working-class neighborhoods that are often complex. She educates, instills mutual respect and turns every conflict into a space for dialogue, with the authority needed to restore order in times of tension, but also through the kindness of inclusive workshops. A true weaver of bonds, she shows a strength of conviction that goes beyond the simple framework of community activities. In these areas where social ties are weakening, she uses sport as a universal language and as a powerful lever for emancipation, proving that passing things on is above all a matter of presence and courage.
