On April 8, 2024, a rare and spectacular phenomenon occurred in the skies over Canada, the United States and Mexico: a total solar eclipse. The Moon passed in front of the Sun in a perfect alignment between the Earth, the Sun and itself. For a few minutes, this plunged many regions of these countries into darkness. In Quebec, the last one dated back more than 50 years (1972) and the next will occur 80 years from now.
