In 2018, as part of the partnership between the United States Marine Corps and the French Army's 2nd Foreign Infantry Regiment (2e REI), a unit from the 2nd Marine Division spent a week training at Camp des Garrigues, near Nîmes, in southern France.

The joint exercise aimed to improve interoperability between French and American forces, allowing both units to exchange knowledge, compare equipment and tactics, and strengthen cooperation.

Throughout the week, the soldiers and Marines took part in a series of tactical exercises and team-building activities at the AZURIG training facility.

This photo report documents one of the highlights of the exchange: a joint urban warfare training exercise.
